Whether it's flowing with the beat of House music, or seemingly singing lullabies over soulful ballads, her range is captivating.Born Candace Daryl Clark, at the age of 2, she started singing along with her grandfather while sitting atop of his upright piano. At an early age, she listened and was influenced by her father's collection which included Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, and Nancy Wilson. Later, she was inspired by Teena Marie, Whitney Houston, and Phyllis Hyman and Sade. Having recieved her Masters degree in vocal performances at Catholic University in D.C., classical music helped her develop the vocal endurance she skillfully applies today.Following her heart and innate abilities, Canda writes and sings with passion, sharing life's experiences over dramatic instrumentals and smooth beats. Now in her career, she has been able to bless stages in New York, Washington D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia. She has won many hearts with her debut soul single "Consider This", which continues to rank the charts in the Soul category on Ourstage, and she was also noted Augusts' NUMBER ONE Soul Artist in Maryland. "Consider This" is a soulful serenade about unconditional love and the yearning to keep it strong. The lyrics expose the hearts and minds of not only women, but men who want to reconcile with their love.
